“Der Conny ihr Pony” ist ein knapp fünf Minuten dauernder Collagenfilm, der einen Vortrag des mehrfach ausgezeichneten Slam-Poeten Gabriel Vetter aus der Schweiz filmisch in Szene setzt. Der Kurzfilm wurde im Rahmen eines Semesterprojektes des Studiengangs Multimedia | Virtual – Reality – Design an der Burg Giebichenstein Hochschule für Kunst und Design Halle von Robert Pohle und Martin Hentze erstellt.

Eine wahre Meisterleistung!

Nein, das ist nicht der berühmte Metropolis von Fritz Lang, der am 12.02.2010 seine Welturaufführung der wirklich originalsten Fassung hatte, die es gibt. Die Geschichte dazu ist grandios. Gehört aber nicht hierher.

Hier geht es um einen eigentlich 9 Minütigen Film über die Geschichte der Stadt Charlotte, North Carolina.

Metropolis is a quirky and very abridged narrative history of the city of Charlotte, North Carolina. It uses stop motion video animation to physically manipulate aerial still images of the city (both real and fictional), creating a landscape in constant motion. Starting around 1755 on a Native American trading path, the viewer is presented with the building of the first house in Charlotte. From there we see the town develop through the historic dismissal of the English, to the prosperity made by the discovery of gold and the subsequent roots of the building of the multitude of churches that the city is famous for. Now the landscape turns white with cotton, and the modern city is ‘born’, with a more detailed re-creation of the economic boom and surprising architectural transformation that has occurred in the past 20 years

Charlotte is one of the fastest growing cities in the country, primarily due to the continuing influx of the banking community, resulting in an unusually fast architectural and population expansion that shows no sign of faltering despite the current economic climate. However, this new downtown Metropolis is therefore subject to the whim of the market and the interest of the giant corporations that choose to do business there. Made entirely from images printed on paper, the animation literally represents this sped up urban planners dream, but suggests the frailty of that dream, however concrete it may feel on the ground today. Ultimately the video continues the city development into an imagined hubristic future, of more and more skyscrapers and sports arenas and into a bleak environmental future. It is an extreme representation of the already serious water shortages that face many expanding American cities today; but this is less a warning, as much as a statement of our paper thin significance no matter how many monuments of steel, glass and concrete we build.

Meine Meinung:
The Can ist sehr witzig. Das also kann Red Bull alles auslösen ;D
Die short Love Story ist sehr süß, aber auch traurig. Hat mich auch an Up erinnert. Ich werd bei sowas immer sehr sentimental :(
Am liebsten mag ich aber The Legend of the Scarecrow. Das Design, die Mixtur aus 2D und 3D, die Musik und die Geschichte. Einfach awesome. Und traurig :( Die arme Vogelscheuche. Leider verstehe ich kein einziges Wort, ich hoffe ja irgendwann noch auf eine englische Version. Aber auch so ist das schon wundervoll ♥

Logorama ist ein animierter Kurzfilm, der aus Logos und Maskottchen vieler bekannter Firmen besteht.
Geschrieben und directed von den Franzosen François Alaux und Herve de Crecy, ist dieser Kurzfilm nun für einen Oscar nominiert.

Hier könnt ihr euch den Streifen reinziehen.

Ich war erst skeptisch, aber nachdem ich ihn gesehen hab und bei den Credits nicht abschalten konnte, weil das Lied so gut war, hab ich ihn für absolut genial befunden.
Man weiß gar nicht wohin mit den Augen, will man doch jedes Logo und jede reference zu einer großen Firma mitbekommen.
Hab immer auf Microsoft und Apple gewartet. Kommt erst ziemlich zum Schluss.
Und RonaldMcDonald als der Fiesling – richtig so!

“Alma” ist ein wundervoller kleiner Kurzfilm, der vom ersten Augenblick an fasziniert. Von der ersten Note der Musik, bishin zu den wundervollen Bildern.
Ein bisschen vestörend wirkt er auch, aber er ist großartig!

Schaut euch den Kurzfilm schnell hier an, denn auf der Website steht, er ist nur für eine limited Zeit online. Also husch!

Habe hier bei StyleSpion diesen wundervollen Kurzfilm gefunden. Der gute Kai hat diesen wiederum bei Katsune Noir entdeckt.

Der Kurzfilm ist von Temujin Doran, einem in London lebenden Filmvorführer.
Er erzählt in dem Film etwas über seine Arbeit im “The Screen on the Green”. Eine Hommage an die alte Schule des Filmvorführens.

This is a short film about my job as a Projectionist. I am quite proud of this film, mostly because I’m so proud of my job – it seems like a fulfilment of my childhood romantic notions of what I wanted to be when I grew up. Nonetheless what it most discernibly omits is how truly magnificent all the other staff are who work there too. It is dedicated to the other projectionists I know; some of whom are under threat of redundancy, and unquestionably to Sammy; for the lessons and facts about Projection.
